The Deluxe Custom Organic Mattress is designed for sleepers who want complete control over how their mattress feels for years to come.
Built with 10 inches of pressure-relieving GOLS-certified organic latex, the Deluxe features Obasan’s most versatile customization system. In addition to a fully adjustable zoned middle layer, the base can be tailored to Medium or Firm support to get your perfect fit.
For couples, an optional dual-split base layer allows each side of the mattress to feel different without disrupting the shared sleep surface. Finished with a thicker, plush organic topper, the Deluxe delivers exceptional comfort, responsiveness, and long-term adaptability.
For best performance, your Obasan mattress should be placed on a firm, supportive foundation with built-in breathability, such as wooden slats or a ventilated platform base.
Slatted Base/Foundation
We recommend a slatted mattress base or foundation with:
- Metal or wooden slats spaced no more than 3” apart
- Slats that are 2” - 6” wide
- A centre support bar running vertically down the middle of the frame
- One or more centre legs to further support the centre beam. This becomes especially helpful for larger mattresses (Queen, King, or California King).
Solid Wood Base/Foundation
If your foundation has a solid wood surface, it must include ventilation for airflow. We recommend:
- Vent holes approximately 1” in diameter
- Spaced about 12-15” apart
Please ensure it has holes or vents for recommended breathability. We typically recommend holes of about 1" diameter every 12-15" apart.
